Skills Attributes & Employment Development

Here I am back with another blog to help everyone with the modules of semester 1. We have all together 4 modules and one by one I will be telling about the course. Firstly, I would like to talk about “Problem Solving for IT”. I am learning a lot of things and I expect the same in the future. It helps in increasing my IQ skills and also helps me to handle problems in different ways. It also helps in making our mind creative as we think of many new ideas to solve the problem. It gives me a positive attitude that every problem has its solution,only a little effort is required. Another module that I have is “Study skills for Computing”. This module will help me improve my presentation skills and gain more confidence. I will also become more fluent in English. Thirdly, I have “Introduction to Programming” in my course. Programming has always been one of my favorite subject. This course is giving me a lot practical knowledge about computer programming. It also have a very wide scope ahead in future. Since, I am studying programming from last 2 years, it is now easy for me to cover the topics included in the module. It helps us to learn different programming languages like Java, Python and many more. Lastly, I have “Logic” as one of the module. It is a very interesting and important course in any field as it improve one’s calculation and keeps the mind active.

Well that is all about my modules. I hope that the above explanation gave a clear picture about all the modules. These modules will help to gain knowledge and also improve the inner abilities that one has inside them. This will increase our skills and help us become a better person in future !!

True isn't it? Well the above statement totally suits on me. I hated studies when I was small 

and think that why am I studying all this? Will this help me in future? Now, I understand 

why I went through those difficult days, to make things easy for future. After having a 

background of Computers itself, things are easy to understand. Taking computers in Class 

11^th was the best choice that I made because now it is easy for me to understand my 

subject “Introduction to programming”. I also have done a course on software designing 

which is helping me a lot. Making flowcharts, writing programs are not as difficult as it was 

before. Reviewing some books of SAT is also being helpful for “Problem Solving for IT”, 

which has improved my IQ Level. Though I studied maths only till class 10, still Logic is not 

being as difficult as I thought it would be. I have taken part in debates during school time 

because of which my speaking skills have been improved. All these knowledge will definitely 

help me in my further studies.

My expectations from this college are very high. It is not only about international degree but 

the thing that matters is knowledge. I not only hope to become a professional programmer 

but also hope to increase my speaking skills, giving presentations without any hesitation 

and solving the same question with different ideas and different methods. This will bring out 

the best in me. It will help me deal with difficult solutions in the most easiest way. I am 

learning new things everyday in this college and I hope that this course will make me a 

successful person one day.. !!

About Myself..

HEY !! Well writing about yourself is not as easy as it seems. Starting off with the introduction,

I am Megha  Gupta,  It seems great to b e a part of the blogger as

it is my first account and my very first post too. Though I am from India, but I have been brought up in

Kathmandu itself. Well, there is no specific hobby, But I love music, hanging out with my friends, and

 sometimes I like dancing too (though I am a lazy bone) . And I am crazy about novels and my favorite

 author is Chetan Bhagat. My favorite pass time is Sleeping.


                                I have done my schooling from Modern Indian School and now studying here in

Islington College which is  affiliated by London Metropolitan University. My elder brother who is from the

same background suggested  me this course and I was also convinced when I visited the college. The

counselors gave me knowledge about all the three courses and after a long thought, my mind set upon

computing. I had no idea that I will get an international degree in Nepal itself. For me, getting a British degree

meant that we will have to go abroad and study. But this college changed my thinking and I find myself lucky

that I am studying in Islington College where I am learning about new things which I have never done before..

And this blog is the best example. !!

                                 In today’s world, there is huge scope and demand for this course worldwide. IT sector

is the most popular one and people easily get job in today's world.  Now  that I have chosen this  course, I

will give all my hardwork and will hope for the best. Though I am not new in this field but I know that I need

to do a lot more. I do believe that this course will bring out the best in me and make me a successful person

one day.. !!
